Examples of the types of beverage affected are beer, wine, water, liquid refreshments, juices, nectars, milk and instant beverages.
Maximum compliance with minimum disruption. UC-TC. Tethered Closures from UNITED CAPS. Born Ready.
Where you see the UC-TC logo, you'll find superior Tethered Closures for a changing planet.
We believe that closures should differentiate today and sustain tomorrow.
An industry-wide challenge required an industry-wide solution.
UNITED CAPS spearheaded the Alliance for Closure Tethering (ACT) to bring together segment leaders in the packaging industry to conduct an impact assessment of various tethering solutions on existing finishes and to determine finishing changes that might be required. The ACT group, includes stakeholders such as bottlers, preform producers and brand owners.
The design standard for tethered closures has not been finalised by the European Union.
The EU Commission has instructed the EU Standardisation Organisations to develop harmonised standards for caps and lids which remain attached to the beverage containers during the product’s intended use stage. UNITED CAPS is a key partner in this process, UC-TC will ensure harmonious compatibility with the eventual standard.
The UNITED CAPS UC-TC. Born Ready designs can be applied on neck finishes that already exist. This means that the neck design does not have to be expensively re-designed or modified.
Facilitates the use of standard preforms which were designed with a sustainable focus. Delivering lightweights and cost savings for customers.
UNITED CAPS solutions can be implemented as soon as closures are available, no delay caused by long re-design and standardisation processes.
